Statement of faith

 

  • We believe that:

  • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Genesis ch1 v1

  • "I AM the Alpha and the Omega" says the Lord "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation ch1 v8

  • All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, reproving, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man or woman of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy ch3 v16-17

  • Eternal salvation is based on the foundation of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians ch3 v10-15

  • The Godhead is made up of: God the Father -- God the Son -- God the Holy Spirit.   John ch8 v58. Genesis ch1 v1.    John ch14 v8-11 and v15-22.      1 Timothy ch3 v16.

  • All our righteousness is as filthy rags. Isaiah ch64 v6.

  • If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John ch1 v9

  • We are made righteous only by the blood of Jesus. 1 John ch1 v7-10.   Ephesians ch2 v8-10.

  • The fourfold work of the gospel is based on the crosswork of Jesus Christ. Isaiah ch53-5.

  • The Holy Spirit indwells us at salvation and fills us, either instantly or progressively, as we allow Him to. Romans ch8 v9-11.  2 Corinthians ch6 v16.  John ch14 v15-21.  Ephesians ch3 v16-19.

  • We should place no demands, no restrictions, but have great expectations on the Holy Spirit in our lives and ministry. 1 Corinthians ch2 v6-16.  Romans ch8 v5.

  • He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and He sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke ch9 v1-2

  • "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven" Luke ch10 v19-20

  • The battle is against spiritual powers, not flesh and blood. Ephesians ch6 v11-12.

  • The battle is the Lord's 1 Samuel ch17 v47.

  • We can have the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians ch15 v57.

  • Jesus Christ is coming back at a time designated by God the Father. Matthew ch24 v36

  • To the only God our saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and for evermore! Amen.  Jude v25
