Interceding for the nation Biblical Deliverance Ministries
In accordance with Solomon’s Temple and Tabernacle Pattern. As we look deeply into the blueprint and patterns of the tabernacle (temple) in the Old Testament we can see how detailed and precise our Almighty God is. We can also see that whatever He says and whatever He does or instructs has purposes beyond our human understanding, The tabernacle or temple on earth was a replica of the heavenly sanctuary (Heb 8:5). The temple was never intended to be the ultimate sanctuary. It was only a copy or should we say a blueprint or shadow. When God called Moses up to Mount Sinai and told him to build a tabernacle, He gave him a definite blueprint to follow. This pattern was a type of higher, heavenly, spiritual reality. The tabernacle laid out a plan of how God’s covenant people were to worship and approach Him in prayer. These two words, Prayer and Worship are very closely associated and cannot be separated. The temple was actually prophetic, of the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus would make. We now have the privilege of worshipping and having communion and relationship with God, through the most ultimate sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. It also was prophetic of what we are now, the Kings and Priests, and the Living Stones of His temple, and in the role that all Christians should be in, worship, fellowship and communication with God, through Worship, prayer and intercession on behalf of others (kingly, priestly role) With Jesus going before us as our High Priest and fulfilling this role so we can come into the presence of God, (“I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.” John 14:6.) The chosen stone and His chosen people – To continually offer up worship and prayers in the authority Jesus Christ has given us on the cross. 1Peter 2:4,5,9 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones are being built up a spiritual House (temple) a chosen priesthood, to offer up sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful Light. 1 Corinth 3:16 “Do you know that you are the temple of God., and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinth 6:19-20 “Or do you know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. With these scripture below this now brings me to the point in which we must cleanse ourselves, and come before God in the way that has been set out in God’s Word. And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the . As God has said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Therefore: “Come out from among them and separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Almighty God.” 2Corinth 16:18
Outer Court (Drawing of God) God calls us from the outer court into the inner court, with praises and thanksgiving. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5 This is the point where not only does God draw His people towards Him into Intercession but through our prayers He will draw the unsaved to Him when He is lifted up. And I, If I am lifted up from the earth will draw all peoples to MYSELF. John 12:32
Inner Court (Cleansing) – Be Clean and pray for cleansing Ten Bronze Lavers, the Bronze Holocaust Altar and the Molten Sea. These three features represent the three cleansing agents that God has given us (His Spirit, His Blood, and His Word) to wash our entire being through to the soles of our feet, a complete submerging in God. This is a place of repentance, for ourselves, and the sins of the nations, thanksgiving for the deliverance healing and cleansing of us ourselves, and the sins of the nations. We must present ourselves to God and our lives to God through His Son Jesus Christ as living sacrifices as signified by the Bronze Holocaust Altar. “By the mercies of God, present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God for every good service, be not conformed with the pattern of this world, but transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2. We must be cleansed and sanctified vessels fit for the master’s use. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if any one cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for the master, prepared for every good work. 2 Tim 2:20-21. He will even deliver one who is not innocent; yes he will be delivered by the purity of your hands. Job 22:30. This scripture shows the importance of us coming before God with a pure heart and clean hands.
The Porch (God’s Counsel and Might) be armed and armoured The Golden Vestibule and Bronze Pillars. The Golden Vestibule represents God’s supernatural Spirit of Counsel and Might, and the Bronze Pillars (Jochin and Boaz) represent our free will. This is a place we must come to, (for we labour in vain if we do not build the house of God in strength,) this is the place where we must have His direction and His instruction. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you arm yourself with the name of Jesus, the word of God, and put on the whole armour of God. Eph.6:10-18
The Holy Place (The Holy Spirit – the outworking of God) – Be Still This is the place where we continue to seek God and receive Illumination of the Holy Spirit; The Shewbread speaks of fellowship and unity with each other, and communion with God and the revelation of who is the bread of life for our nations. The candle stick represents the Holy Spirit, this candle stick has seven branches representing -
The mind of Christ – Seven fold Spirit of God. 1. Spirit of the Lord -Jesus 5. Spirit of Wisdom 2. Spirit of understanding 6. Spirit of Counsel 3. Spirit of Strength 7. Spirit of Knowledge 4. Fear of the Lord
Notice that in the Holy Place there is no light except from this candle stick! In our life there should be no light but God’s light. We must force out the influence of the world or false light (satan can appear as a angel of light 2 Corinth 11:4) This also is the place where the Holy Spirit illuminates God’s word to us. Pray and worship in the Spirit, use the sword of the Spirit and speak God’s word. Do not rely on your own insight God is the giver, not only of the answer to prayer but the initiator too. So put away all pre-conceived ideas and thoughts concerning your lists, burdens, needs, in faith ask the Holy Spirit to empower, direct and pray through you. This is quite often the time we need to be still and be quiet and know God is God.
The Altar of incense (Worship is prayer and prayer is worship) This altar is a place where man speaks to God, whereas the Shewbread is where God speaks to man and nourishes him with spiritual food, the bread of life. Our prayers to God are like incense in His nostrils, (Let my prayer be set before You as incense. Psalm 141:2) and through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, and His shed blood, God has given us the gift of prayer that we might “Come boldly unto the throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.” Hebrew 4:16. For ourselves and our nation. This is where we can intercede and stand on behalf of others as the High priest (Jesus) did before us, when He shed His blood, when Jesus spoke the words ‘It is finished’ the veil was torn from top to bottom (Matt 27:5) Only God could tear that veil from top to bottom (man would have to start from the bottom, it was 15ft tall.) Jesus gave His life and no one could take it (jn19:11, jn3:16) Salvation is a gift of God (Eph. 2:8-9), salvation which was something only Jesus could pay for. We now have access by faith into the grace of God “By whom also we have access by faith into His grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.” Roman 5:2 (see Eph 2:18, 3:12, Heb 4:16).
Holy of Holies (Manifest presence of God) This is the place where God will “Meet with us” the place of the “Ark of the Covenant”, Mercy Seat and the Shekinah Glory. Ark defined in Latin arcere, meaning to hold off, defend. Something that affords protection and safety. Meaning a place of protection in God’s presence as we obey His laws, the mercy seat is a place where the priest placed the blood of the sacrifices for the sin once a year on the day of atonement, Jesus has now done this for us once and for all (Hebrews 9:11 -15, Rev.11:19). The Ark was made of Shittim wood overlain with gold, the imperishable Shittim wood representing the perfect humanity of Jesus and the gold representing the Deity of Jesus. The ark had a crown of gold around the top edge which speaks of our “Saviour “crowned with the glory and honour (Hebrews 2:9) A crown is a symbol of sovereignty and power. The meaning of the contents The law was placed in the ark which symbolizes Jesus Christ who was the only man who could keep the law without breaking it. However, in the New Testament God said “I will put my laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts” Heb. 8:10. The golden pot of manna. Manna in Hebrew means “what is it?” The unsaved world looking at Christianity from without says “what is it?”, but to the believer we know Jesus as the “bread of life” (Jn 6:48-51) A golden pot speaks of deity and our bread or provision comes from God. As the Lord’s Prayer says: “Give us this day our daily bread.” Matt 6:11. Daily we must meet with Jesus; the Israelites learned a lesson in trusting God in that the manna was to be gathered daily and would not last until the next day except for the 7th day. (Ex 16:22-30). Aaron’s rod. Each of the twelve tribes put these rods in the tabernacle and God would cause one to blossom whom He had chosen to be the High Priest. As there had been a revolt with 250 men against Moses & Aaron. Of course God chose the rod of Aaron from the house of Levi; this rod brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. Num 17:8 the Almond is symbolic (Like the almond on the candlestick) and means “hastener, the first to bloom just as Jesus was the first to be raised from the dead.
The Mercy Seat It was solid gold with two cherubim’s facing toward each other looking down with their wings overspread touching the center, the cherubim faced each other but looking down on the mercy seat. Cherubim are the guardians of God (Gen 3:24) There is power in the Blood and so God has covered it and protected it by His Cherubim. 1 Peter 1:12 says of the salvation of God: “Which things the angels desire to look into” The Cherubim looked upon the mercy seat which was only offered to men. (2Peter 2:4, Jude 6, Isa.14). The mercy seat was the place where the Priest placed the blood of sacrifices for sin a place where atonement was made (once a year only). However the blood of an animal was not good enough (Heb10:4) and was only a symbol of the blood shed at Calvary. After shedding His blood, Jesus became our High Priest and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, Jesus more than went through the priestly actions. He became the ultimate High Priest in the order of Melchizedek, and placed the Blood on the mercy seat of God in heaven (Heb 9:11-15, Rev.11:19). THE BLOOD – Jesus Christ came as an eternal priest to offer eternal sacrifice for sin, the shedding of the blood. By His sacrifice He obtained eternal redemption, the former priest’s only obtained atonement. There is a vast difference between the two. The ultimate fulfillment of God’s covenant making nature, and God’s Holy Word, which of course is now the authority we have to stand on for the ultimate victory which Jesus achieved on the cross. Where the Ark was carried properly God blessed people and worked miracles. Let’s pray for the promises of God for these last days, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the miracle of revival and salvation. Be open to Jesus as the High Priest of our faith and we have become the priests of the tabernacle (Temple) on which we carry with us the Ark of the Covenant, with the blood of Jesus on the mercy seat, so His people can receive Jesus and the sacrifice given for all our sins. We can bring our prayers before our God for His people on the breastplate of our hearts. I believe God has shown us that symbolically we are also the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant, and Jesus’ Blood poured out on the mercy seat, dripping and then pouring out onto His people. There is power, healing, salvation, cleansing and much blessing in the Blood of the Lamb, bringing the people in our nations before God’s throne of Grace. Remember also the actual word ‘ark ere’ (Ark) in itself only means place of safety and protection. Please through prayer, intercede many, many, many people will come to God, pray that God will draw His people, so they all can receive the Son of the most High God and all of His healing and provision. Use the sword of the Holy Spirit – the word of God and proclaim, and pray God’s word!! This is the place God will be glorified. PLEASE MEDITATE ON THE WHOLE BOOK OF HEBREWS.
